Mad Scientists Club

Science is an empirical method applied to collecting and measuring information about reality. Information collected is called data and is used to provide interpretations about observations. In many cases the data is biased by the observer making the interpretation inexact. Mad Science is about reality and how we use subjective facts and terms to explain it. Our hope is to look at information from many perspectives so as to determine its Truth, understanding that Truth is also a subjective term.

Truth

Truth is a relative term based on a consensus interpretation of observable events. These events (facts?) are then transcribed and written down as text or translated and passed on in conversation. Either way, once the information is placed into the public domain it takes on a life of it's own. When in the public domain it will acquire energy of it's own and infuses the believer with a form of power. The believer then takes that relative "Truth" and uses it as a tool to advance his or hers own agenda. The strength of the believer and the power of his (her) conviction will create a reality based on that relative truth and is used to alter the relative truths of others.
On hearing this new relative truth others will respond based on there own beliefs and relative truths. Some respond in anger, others with laughter, and others not at all (the types of responses are endless). If you ask the French, the English, or other Europeans - (the list goes on) if Americans are biased and confused many would respond in the affirmative. If we were to ask Americans if Europeans were liberal and soft many would say yes. Does this imply that this is the truth - no - it is but an indication of that persons relative belief. If you were able to look into the mind of every individual on the planet you would learn that each person has a different relative belief system based on the sum of that persons experiences and their ability to understand (plus a lot of other intrinsic properties we do not understand). So when you go out to find the Truth, be aware that your own relative truth may block your view. The road to Hell is paved with good intentions (another relative belief).
Just because you have a particular belief system based on your written and oral texts does not imply that the relative truth you posse is better then that possessed by someone else. Each individual posses a unique truth that can only be found by focussing on the inside. The external truths are but triggers to prod what is believed inside. You do not find the truth by finding fault and always looking to see what others are doing or have done. You find Truth by examination of your own internal beliefs. This is the only way to gain clarity in your perception of the outer world and hope that you may but glimpse the "Real Truth". The outer reality is an illusion based on interpretation. The inner reality is a path that leads to an understanding of the real truth if you can break with the veil of illusion created by your external interpretation.
